Investigating the Mechanisms of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis: From Pathogenesis and Aetiology to Treatment Innovation – Integrating Systems Biology and Clinical Research
BRMEC14 Colloquium - Abstract Submission
Abstracts for Consideration for the Colloquium
#BRMEC14 is a meeting intended for biomedical researchers to collaborate, share ideas and knowledge about ME, or other research areas that will help in determining the pathophysiology of ME.
Each session in the colloquium will be moderated by a researcher from the Euorpean ME Research Group (EMERG).
These are guidelines for submitting abstracts for consideration at the Colloquium.
Submission Guidelines:
Scope: Submit abstracts on unpublished or ongoing biomedical research related to myalgic encephalomyelitis, or in a field that would be of relevance to researchers involved in research into ME, focusing on one of the following topics:
- Systems Biology of ME
- Epidemiology of ME and Long Covid
- Host-Virus Interaction: ME and Long Covid
- Immunology
- CNS and Imaging
- Mitochondrial Dysfunction and Metabolomics
- ANS and Autoimmunity
- Microbiome
- Orthostatic Intolerance and Autonomic Physiology
- Therapies and Treatments
- AI and Bioinformatics
Format: Concise abstracts (max 300 words) with sections: Background/Objective, Methods, Results, Conclusion.
Please be aware of the theme of the Colloquium when submitting abstracts. Abstracts received that are not considered relevant for the themes of the event may not be considered.
Eligibility: Open to researchers actively engaged in biomedical research into ME.
Deadline: Abstracts due by 15 March 2025.
Review: Submissions will be reviewed by the charity in collaboration with our advisory committee in the European ME Research Group (EMERG).
Notification:
Authors of accepted abstracts notified as soon as possible.Submission Instructions:
