Mike Harley finished his monumental effort in running 27 EU Marathons as a challenge to raise
awareness and funds for ME. This outstanding venture, carried out over many years,
came its conclusion recently when Mike
completed the
Rome marathon in March.
Mike Harley's challenge was described in this article - which also has links to Mike's own pages
[see here].
An amazing effort finally concluded.
But then the Lichtenstein marathon came into the frame for this summer.
And so Mike has entered that also - see here.
And now the Florence marathon in November 2022 and Mike has entered that also -

Walking for IiMER
Walk for ME
The original idea behind Walk for ME was that friends, family and loved ones of an ME sufferer would do a sponsored walk
on their behalf: hence the name Walk for ME.
The Walk for ME campaign was set up by Luke Remnant and Ian McPhee and uses walking by friends and family of patients
to raise funds and awareness of ME.
However, as well as walks this has now seen healthy friends and families of ME sufferers do swims, rides and runs!
It is hoped that as many friends and loved ones as possible will do a sponsored walk or other fun event
during ME Awareness month.
