Abstracts for Consideration for Colloquium or Young EMERG Workshop
#BRMEC13 is a closed meeting intended for biomedical researchers to collaborate, share ideas and knowledge about ME,
or other research areas
that will help in determining the pathophysiology of ME.
These are guidelines for submitting abstracts for consideration at the Colloquium, or at the Young EMERG Workshop (SPARK ME) for
early career researchers.
Submission Guidelines:
Scope: Submit abstracts on unpublished or ongoing biomedical research related to myalgic encephalomyelitis, or in a field that would be of relevance to researchers involved in research into ME, focusing on one of the following topics:
- Infection
- Nervous System
- Immune System
- Metabolism
- Epigenomes and Transcriptomes
- Physiology
Format: Concise abstracts (max 300 words) with sections: Background/Objective, Methods, Results, Conclusion.
Please be aware of the theme of the Colloquium and/or SPARK ME Workshop when submitting abstracts. Abstracts received that are not considered relevant for the themes of these events may not be considered.
Eligibility: Open to researchers actively engaged in biomedical research into ME.
Deadline: Abstracts due by 15 March 2024.
Review: Submissions will be reviewed by the charity in collaboration with our advisory committee in the European ME Research Group (EMERG).
Notification: Authors of accepted abstracts notified as soon as possible. Authors of abstracts selected for inclusion in the Colloquium will be notified and invited to give a 10 minute presentation in an appropriate segment or to provide a poster for display (dependent on the finalised schedule and subject to change).
