It is with great sadness that we heard the news this week of the passing of Graham McPhee.

Graham was a retired British mathematics school teacher living with ME and was involved in the "citizen-scientist" analysis of the PACE trial. Those who knew him will also remember him for his 'dad jokes' and his support for all who needed it.
His son Ian (also a person with ME) wrote: ''The hospital rang yesterday evening to say dad has passed away. He went fairly quickly and peacefully, and wasn't in pain. We'd been to see him that afternoon, and although he was mostly out of it, he had a good smile and we held his hand, which we're so thankful for now.
I already terribly miss his support, wisdom and awful jokes. He has left a huge hole, and I'm so glad we managed the short walks together just 2 weeks ago."

His modest manner in providing intelligent commentary about ME endeared him to all.
He was a lovely man. This is a very sad time and we send our condolences to his family.
We hope it is some consolation to know how greatly respected Graham was and how much he will be missed by so many people.
